It has been said before that my relatively frequent foray into producing new web sites is a result of my having too much time on my hands. That instead of web sites, I should be producing comic books. Well, aside from the small notion that little or no comic book work is readily available for many creators in the comics industry today - and that I may be ambivalent as to my desire to produce such work within prevailing conditions - and that due to this, producing such work necessitates that it be done at my own initiative and expense... Well, my reasoning for continuing with the production of this series of web sites, is that if one finds themselves within the unavoidable constraints of initiating the work they do voluntarily as a personal investment, I believe that one should produce the type of work they most desire to do - or feel that it most needs to be done.

Welcome to ReVOLUTION.

This sixth web site in the Michael Netzer Online series, (a 6-issue series already?) follows The New Comic Book of Life; The Comic Book Creator's Party, The Comic Book creators' Guild; Flaming Sword Productions and Rabble-Rouser - all which remain viewable from the System menu. The latter admittedly sported a relatively short-lived presence, but nevertheless now enjoys a well deserved resting place amongst its sister sites.

As will become evident to our visitors, ReVOLUTION, aspires to break the barriers of the comics community, while brandishing this cherished art form at the forefront of its opining on the issues of sociopolitics, science, arts, culture, economy, faith and just about any other pertinent social construct.

The server-side software provided by Joomla for ReVOLUTION is of the most advanced in the web development field for content management. This will become particulary evident in the News Feeds section, where the newest headlines from any source carried here, are readily viewable on one easy-to-access web page.

Three main sections comprise the content of ReVOLUTION.

Front & Center, on the main Front Page menu, is the heart of this operation and our center stage commmentary on issues of choice. The section menu item leads to a table format presentation of its categories and content items. Presently, these categories are Comics, Sociopolitical, Science and Culutre. More may be added as we expand. These same categories are also accessible directly through the same main menu, where their contents are displayed in a blog format.

News Feeds may well be ReVOLUTION's flagship contribution to the comics web. Due to this being an opinion-driven enterprise, which doesn't intend to compete with other news sites, News Feeds allows us to carry major updated current news and headlines from just about anywhere on the web. This feature is not presently provided anywhere else in the comics web community.

We presently carry feeds from various categories including: Comics News; Comics Creators; Comics Blogs; Comics Commentary & Reviews; Comics Film News; The News - Sociopolitical; Science & Technology; Business & Finance; Arts, Entertainment & Culture; Sports and Web Development News. We'd like to add as many feeds as our audience wishes, so please contact me with category suggestions and specific feed links you'd like to see. Simply verify beforehand that the sources provide functional RSS feeds for this purpose.

In preparing this section, it became evident that the comics web community is particularly lagging behind other mediums in providing functional RSS feeds. I do anticipate, however, a change coming about slowly in this area.

About is the section archiving Michael Netzer Art Galleries, Interviews, Press, Biogrraphies and Checklist. It functions in the same manner as Front & Center, in that the individual categories within this section are also accessible from the main menu. Any reminders or references to such items on the web (or anywhere else), which haven't been covered here, will be greatly appreciated.

Additionally, Home serves as ReVOLUTION's cover page, which displays introductions to the latest items from the various categories. A number of Polls, intended to also opine on the issues they present, will likewise accompany our home page. The main menu also carries a permanently fixed Mission Statement - and a Links section covering a wide range of links and link lists from much the same categories that are provided in the Feeds section. As this links archive begins to take shape, any suggestions for additional links or link lists will also be welcomed. A comprehensive Search tool and a Contact form, round out the main menu selections.

ReVOLUTION is the beginning of yet another stretch on the road we travel together in this journey to raise the voice of the people unto the world stage. It is your place as much as it is mine, and it will certainly respond, and adapt, to your needs as viewers.
