Growing Earth - GE History

There has been significant angst expressed over the terminology of Expanding Earth, Growing Earth. There are historical precedents. There are individual work precedents. There is a desire to more accurately/precisely explain what is happening to "influence" the unwashed masses to see what we are talking about. So a thought came to me in the still of the night.

Sometimes lost in the debate (it is now quieter) is that a growing concensus among those active here is that the cause of expansion is a gain of mass at the core. I would state that the postulated belief in a "phase change" of denser material causing expansion was more prevalently heard a year ago than it is today. Movement. Partly this was because participants more clearly explained their position. Perhaps partly because opposition positions dropped out of the board. At least for here and now, movement in a clear direction.

I would state we have moved into the next position of "violent agreement", and perhaps hadn't noticed it. What is the more correct, more acceptible terminology, then, that could be agreed to?

I offer this: The Earth is Expanding due to a Growing Core. Nobody here is argueing that the crust is "growing". Nobody here (I don't think) is argueing that the mantle is growing. Growth in the core however, is what apparently pushed out and away from the core the more stable earth elements and causes the Earth and the materials down to the core to expand outward.

While no term will win over the masses by itself, at least this seems to allow for an accurate semantic description, if one looks up the terms in a reputable dictionary.
